Your essay is your hard work. Here is how we protect it, who can see it, and how you stay in control.

How your essay is handled

  1. 1

    You submit

Type your essay or upload your handwritten pages.

  2. 2

    It is read with care

Handwriting is read by independent readers. Every word they are unsure about is shown to you to confirm.

  3. 3

It is judged like an examiner would

Checked against our FPSC reference library, scored on five weighted criteria in several independent passes, then cross-checked.

  4. 4

    It comes back to you

Marked-up feedback and a PDF, yours to keep or delete. Your institute sees it only if you link to one.

In plain words

  • Your essays are used only to evaluate your work. We never sell them and we never run ads.
  • Only the essay itself goes out for evaluation. Your email and password never do.
  • You stay in control: delete any essay, scan and PDF permanently, whenever you like.
  • Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, with a two-device limit and login alerts on every account.
  • If you link to an institute, it sees your results. You can unlink at any time.

1.Who we are

EssayIQ is run by Essay IQ Pakistan, based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. In this policy, we and us mean Essay IQ Pakistan.

EssayIQ is independent. It does not issue official marks and is not affiliated with the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

2.What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a hashed password.
  • Your essays: typed text, photos or scans of handwritten pages, the text read from them, and any corrections you make.
  • Your results: scores, marked-up feedback and the PDFs we generate.
  • Usage counts: how many evaluations you have used, so we can apply your plan limit.
  • Security records: sign-in times, IP address and browser or device details. We use these to enforce the two-device limit and to send login alerts.
  • Messages: anything you send to our support channels.

3.What we do not collect

We do not ask for your CNIC or bank account details. When online payments start, they will be handled by a third-party payment gateway, and we do not plan to store your card details.

4.How we use your information

  • To evaluate your essays and produce your results and PDFs.
  • To keep your account secure and apply plan limits.
  • To send verification codes, security alerts and support replies.
  • To fix problems and improve the service.

5.How your essay is evaluated, and our partners

The evaluation engine is ours: the FPSC reference library, the five weighted scoring criteria, the rule-based checks, the multi-pass cross-checking and the examiner-style marking. For the language-understanding step, the engine works with specialist processing partners. Today these are Google (Gemini), Mistral, Groq, Cerebras and OpenRouter. Using several means one outage never stops your evaluation.

A partner receives only what it needs to do the job: the essay content (text or page images) and the reference passages used to judge it. It does not receive your account email or password. We do not train any model on your essays. Each partner works under its own terms of service, which you can read on its website.

6.Who else can see your data

Institutes. If you link your account to an institute using its code, the institute's admins can see your name, email, submission history, scores and evaluated essays. You can unlink from your dashboard at any time.

Service providers. We use Resend to send emails. Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to block bots when you sign up. Fonts on our pages are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a standard web request from your browser.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

7.How we protect your account

  • Passwords and verification codes are hashed with Argon2id.
  • Your sign-in session is protected by a cookie that scripts on the page cannot read.
  • An account can be signed in on two devices at once, and you can see and remove sessions in Settings.
  • You get an email when a new device signs in.

8.Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete any essay from your dashboard. This permanently removes the essay text, the uploaded scan, the results and the PDFs. It cannot be undone, and a deleted essay still counts toward your plan usage.

To delete your whole account, email essayiqpakistan@gmail.com from your registered address and we will confirm by email once it is done.

9.Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us from your registered address and we will reply within 24 hours.

10.Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell registered users by email.
